Professor Kaixiong Qing is Associate Professor and Acting Chief of Service in the Department of Cardiac and Vascular Surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, China. He earned his PhD from The University of Hong Kong in 2013, specializing in vascular surgery. His clinical and research expertise focuses on aortic diseases, endovascular repair, hemodynamics, and the application of artificial intelligence in vascular imaging and prognosis.

Professor Qing has led multiple research initiatives supported by grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Department, with an emphasis on aortic dissection, aneurysm repair, and vascular remodeling. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Vascular Surgery, European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, and Annals of Vascular Surgery.

Being member of several vascular societies, including the Yunnan Medical Association and the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Professor Qing holds leadership roles related to vascular and cardiovascular surgery. He has been invited to present his research at major international conferences such as the VEITHsymposium, Charing-Cross, Asian Society for Vascular Surgery Congress, and the Leipzig Interventional Course (LINC).

His current work integrates computational fluid dynamics, morphologic analysis, and AI-driven diagnostic models to advance the treatment and outcomes of patients with complex aortic pathologies.
