Professor Go Miyano has been Professor and Chief of Department of Pediatric General & Urogenital Surgery at Juntendo University School of Medicine since 2024. He graduated from Juntendo University in 2001 and completed his residency and Fellowship under the mentorship of Professor Atsuyuki Yamataka from 2001 to 2006. He further trained as a visiting research fellow at Blank Children’s Hospital in Iowa under Professor Thom E. Lobe from 2006 to 2007 and at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Ohio under Professor Thomas H. Inge from 2007 to 2008.

Being a leading expert in paediatric minimally invasive surgery, Professor Miyano has built a robust research portfolio in the field. His extensive clinical research in the field has led to over 150 peer-reviewed publications with over 60 first-authored publications, and has been shared in more than 60 invited presentations globally.

Professor Miyano holds key leadership roles in global paediatric surgical organizations. He is World-at-Large Representative of the International Pediatric Endosurgery Group and Secretary General of the Japan-Chapter of the Pacific Association of Pediatric Surgeons.
