Professor Chung Dann Kan is currently Professor and Deputy Director of the Department of Surgery at National Cheng-Kung University Hospital. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Institute of Clinical Medicine in Medical College at National Cheng-Kung University in 2010. His expertise spans cardiovascular surgery, aortic stent surgery, cell regeneration, and bioengineering.

Professor Kan holds key leadership roles in professional organizations including President of the Taiwan Society for Vascular Surgery from 2019 to 2021. In recognition of his contributions, Professor Kan was appointed Honoured President of the Society in 2021.
