Dr. Alfred Wong graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong in 1995. His career in vascular surgery began under the mentorship of Professor Stephen Cheng and Dr. Albert Ting, with whom he first worked as an Intern and later as a higher surgical trainee at Queen Mary Hospital in 2002. During this period, he developed a comprehensive foundation in both open and endovascular techniques. He has attained his Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Surgery) in 2004.

Dr. Wong completed a Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship at Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia in 2007 to further specialize. Upon returning to Hong Kong, he established the endovascular surgical services at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and Ruttonjee Hospital in collaboration with Dr. Renny Yien. In 2008, he was promoted Associate Consultant in Division of Vascular Surgery of Department of Surgery at Queen Mary Hospital.

Dr. Wong is currently Consultant Vascular Surgeon in the Hong Kong West Cluster, and also the Director of the Training Program for the Vascular Surgery Board at The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong.
