Professor Ahmed Hadidi is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Sana Klinikum Offenbach in Germany. He is also the Director of the Hypospadias Center in Germany and Honorary President of the Hypospadias International Society (HIS).

Professor Hadidi is Editor of the book Hypospadias Surgery: An Illustrated Textbook (Springer, 2022) and Hypospadias Surgery: The Art and Science (Springer, 2004). With over 137 scientific publications and book chapters primarily focused on hypospadias, Hirschsprung disease, and esophageal atresia, his work has garnered 1,072 citations. His research explores the development of the human urethra, hormone receptors, and chordee, contributing valuable insights to the field. He has received numerous accolades, including the Pulvertaft Prize from the British Society of Hand Surgery, the Hasan Hamdy Prize from Cairo University, and the prize of the British Association of Pediatric Surgery’s History Club. He is also an active reviewer of the Journal of Urology, Journal of Pediatric Surgery, and Journal of Pediatric Urology.

Professor Hadidi has organized hypospadias workshops across more than 80 countries. He organized the 2nd HIS International Congress in Frankfurt in 2018 and the 6th HIS World Hypospadias Congress in October 2-4, 2024, in Cairo. Professor Hadidi also regularly operates across Europe, America, Africa, and Asia, and his expertise is sought worldwide, with referrals of complex hypospadias cases from six continents annually.
