Ms. Wong is a Nurse Consultant in Burns specialty, New Territories East Cluster. She had more than 25 years of burn management experience and lead burn nursing development. She has Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Nursing and Master of Nursing in Advanced Practice. Also, completed Post-registration Certificate Course in Burn and Plastic Surgical Nursing in 1993. She developed advanced practices in burn specialty, aiming at early wound healing progress, prevention of complications and therapeutic rehabilitation.
Ms. Wong obtained fellowships from the Hong Kong Academy of Nursing in the College of Surgical Nursing in 2012 and in the Hong Kong College of Education and Research Nursing in 2014. Also, she is the leader of Burn and Plastic specialty in the Clinical Consultative Workgroup of the College which strive for promoting advanced specialty nursing practice and nursing education. In 2021, she is appointed to be the Vice-president of the College.
With enthusiasm in development of burn and plastic education, Ms. Wong conducted lectures to nursing students in both the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Hong Kong for over 20 years. Moreover, she is the organizer of Post-registration Certificate course in Burn and Plastic Surgical Nursing which enhanced advanced training and development of nurses in HA hospitals. Ms. Wong also the Key coordinator of Emergency Management of Severe Burns course in Hong Kong.
