Having graduated from The University of Hong Kong in 2013, Dr Siu pursued his General Surgery training and Colorectal Surgery subspecialty training in the Department of Surgery, Queen Mary Hospital. He obtained Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2021. His main clinical interest is in comprehensive colorectal cancer management.
Dr Siu is committed to foster patient-centred care. He put forwards the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery pathway care for closure of ileostomy patients in Tung Wah Hospital. This initiative resulted in a remarkable reduction in the post-op length of stay observable in Surgical Outcomes Monitoring and Improvement Program (SOMIP).
Currently he serves as the Deputy Chief of Residents and Intern Coordinator in the department. He assumes responsibility for resident training and oversees the provision of intern services.
